RAM slot MacBook Pro 2012 issue

website ram slot 1 and 3 If you look at your RAM slots in the motherboard they are usually numbered 1-4 from the CPU outwards with the slot closest to the CPU being ramses legacy slot When I install my RAM in slots 1 and 4, it starts, and complains that I don't have the RAM in the right slots to use both channels I'm looking
